To get the data from the Islos archive, the Daleks destroy the bunkers of the creators of the archive. The robots tell the Daleks that they found an ancient race in the archive, which opened the portal to Islos and saved all the inhabitants and the archive data in exchange for the Daleks.

The Archive of Islos was the first story in the Daleks! animation series. It was released on 12 November 2020 on the official Doctor Who YouTube Channel as part of the Time Lord Victorious series. It was written by James Goss and featured Ayesha Antoine and Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks.
