S'tanim was a Hebrew word for "false accuser" or "adversary". It came from the Old Testament, where it was used to refer to some non-human entities.
According to a legend of the Order of the Dragon, the s'tanim killed the "first warrior" and created the Poenari Relic.
Surviving texts about the s'tanim were very vague, and The Book of the War posited that most of them were destroyed by religious purges. The Book of the War linked to an entry about the s'tanim in its explanation of the enemy, but the article didn't exist. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
