Festive Greeting was the third in the Reconstructions series. Rather than playing the actors, this story saw them play the characters. Thus David Bradley is playing the First Doctor and not William Hartnell.
Synopsis
And a Merry Christmas to all of you at home...
Plot
Within the TARDIS, the First Doctor wishes a Merry Christmas to everyone "at home" before taking a sip of champagne.
Cast
Crew
- Writer - Dennis Spooner
(reconstruction devised by Mark Gatiss) - Director - Terry McDonough
- Producer - Matt Strevens
References
- The Doctor is drinking champagne.
Story notes
- While the reconstruction is entirely in-universe and fictional we do hear a crew member shout "action" to give it a sixties production error authentic feel.
Home media
- This story was released with the DVD and blu-ray release of An Adventure in Space and Time.
