The Daleks Destroy the Zomites was the a comic story in Kenner's Give-a-Show Projector series of comic stories.

Summary

The Doctor, Ian and Barbara land on Skaro to discover intelligent insects known as Zomites, only to have them destroyed by a Dalek.

Plot

The TARDIS, containing the Doctor, Ian and Barbara, has set down on the home of the Daleks. While exploring, the trio soon find themselves under attack by intelligent insects. As they attempt to fight the insects off, the Daleks arrive and destroy the insects, which they know as Zomites. Regarding them as pests, the Daleks tell the Doctor and his companions that they did well to kill them. As such, the Daleks allow them to leave, but with an order to never return to their planet again.

Story notes

• In contrast to their initial appearance in TV: The Daleks, the slatless Dalek War Machines are shown to be able to move freely on the surface of Skaro, beyond the Dalek City.
• The Daleks complement the TARDIS crew for killing the Zomites, despite the only Zomite deaths being presented as being victims of the Daleks.
