Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- A policeman asks if a pedestrian is part of "a certain TV programme" when he reports the TARDIS being in the road.
- Daleks use galactic seconds, galactic days and galactic weeks.
- The Doctor left Gallifrey because of curiosity.
Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Controversially, the home planet of the Time Lords is called Jewel, as opposed to the name Gallifrey that was previously established in The Time Warrior.
- The line, "Every planet within that mighty swirl must become a Dalek world", is a poetic paraphrasing of a similar line in The Dalek World.
- The Chief Dalek's dome resembles that of the Dalek Supreme from TV: Planet of the Daleks.
