While exploring a beachside cave, Alex and Kat encountered a Sea Devil, who fired its energy weapon at them in an effort to protect its nest, only to be subdued by Jo Jones and her sonic lipstick. Jo subsequently brought Alex and Kat to the location of the Sea Devil's nest, where they witnessed an infant Sea Devil emerge from its egg.
After returning to the beach, Jo brought the infant Sea Devil back to the sea to rejoin its colony, explaining to Alex and Kat that the adult Sea Devil they encountered would later return to hatch the two remaining eggs in the nest itself. (WC: Defenders of Earth)
