Kat (Defenders of Earth)
Kat was a romantic partner of Alex. As part of a dating profile she had written, she claimed to enjoy nature, but after being brought to a "freezing, bat infested" beachside cave by Alex as their second date, she admitted this to be untrue.
While exploring the cave, the pair encountered a Sea Devil, who fired its energy weapon at them in an effort to protect its nest, only to be subdued by Jo Jones and her sonic lipstick. Jo subsequently brought Kat and Alex to the location of the Sea Devil's nest (which had been established on land instead of at sea due to global warming), whereupon they witnessed an infant Sea Devil emerge from its egg. Kat attempted to capture this encounter on her mobile phone, but was dissuaded by Jo, who encouraged her to "Stay in the moment".
After returning to the beach, Kat and Alex watched Jo bring the infant Sea Devil back to the sea to rejoin its colony. Upon being asked by Kat what she was doing in the cave, Jo explained the ambitions to save the environment she and her late partner Cliff had shared, and the action group she and her enormous family had formed in Cliff's name to continue these endeavours. Kat and Alex expressed interest in joining this cause, with Jo enthusiastically accepting their offer of help by inviting them both for a cup of hot tea while she told them all about the group's actions.
