Like all Time Lords, Androgar was taken from his family at the age of eight for the selection process in the Drylands. Staring into the Untempered Schism as part of a Time Lord initiation rite, Androgar was inspired by what he saw in the Schism. (PROSE: A Brief History of Time Lords)
During the Fall of Gallifrey on the last day of the Last Great Time War, Androgar worked closely with the Eleventh General and reported on the War Doctor's ultimatum at the Fall of Arcadia and on the Council's plans to the General. He later accompanied him into the Time Vaults to investigate the Doctor's break-in.
