Barney meets Mike the comic strip artist and asks him how he comes up with ideas for monsters. Mike tells him that he likes to use real everyday things then twist and disturb them.

The 12th episode of Totally Doctor Who's first series premiered on the Thursday before the BBC One debut of Army of Ghosts. It featured Abisola Agbaje.

Due to coverage of the Wimbledon Championships on BBC One, this episode was broadcast on BBC Two.
