For thousands of years, epic stories have been passed down from Time Lord to student, generation to generation. The truth of these tales was lost millennia ago, but the myths and legends themselves are timeless.

Similar to the Virgin Decalogs and Big Finish Short Trips books before it, this anthology is built around the titular theme of myths and legends. The table of contents states which story each short story is based on.
Richard Dinnick also wrote Underworld of the Daleks for this anthology but it went unpublished. Dinnick released the full story on his website during Doctor Who: Lockdown! in 2020.^[1]
