- The Valeyard has an association with the Sycorax.
- Jenny is working for the Division, under the title of "Chief Temporal Operative". She refers to having a Director.
- "Theta Sigma", when translated into roman numerals, gives the approximate date of the Solar System's creation.
- The Valeyard is a psychic entity trapped in a regenerative cycle, caught between regenerations.
- The Curator speculates that the anti-temporal matter at the heart of the Taaron Ka was formed as a universal balance to the Timeless Child.
