merge the articles?

I think that information on Romana II belongs in that article not here. then I thought, maybe want to merge the articles Romana I, Romana II and Romana III into one? --Stardizzy2 19:48, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

I think it's important to have the three Romana articles as well as the overarching Romana article. This main Romana article is a good place to have the various odd / contradicting bits of information, with the Romana I, II and III article allowing for more in depth information. But the Romana article probably could do with a bit of a thin down / merger of info into the other three. --Tangerineduel 12:53, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

It says in the behind the scenes that there is no indication of it being Romana, but after the companion escapes she confirms that she was Romana when asked by the doctor what form she was in when the Rani captured her. --Jono R 19:12, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

Romanadvoratrelundar

Should this page be moved to Romanadvoratrelundar? Every other character whose full name we know has there full name as the page title(like Rose Tyler instead of Rose. Also in The Ribos Operation the Doctor made up the nickname Romana, and Romana said that she preffered her full name (or even "Fred) to Romana.Icecreamdif 22:37, August 31, 2010 (UTC)

In this case I think the more known name should be used, as when we head towards Romana I and Romana II and even First Doctor etc these are names that are the most known. Romanadvoratrelundar can remain a redirect the same goes for Gothaparduskerialldrapolatkh which redirects to Goth. --Tangerineduel 07:37, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Romana makes more sense to me - to me it's the name she's known by - more like Amy Pond v. Amelia Pond than Rose Tyler v. Rose 207.171.242.3 10:53, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

If the page is going to be from an in-universe perspective, it should be her full name, not her nickname. Unless Amy legally changed her name at some point, her's should also be at Amelia Pond. Also, in The Ribos Operation it was implied that before she met the Doctor, she had always been Romanadvoratrelundar, and wasn't called Romana until she met the Doctor, when she was already 140 years old.Icecreamdif 23:30, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Citation tag removed

I've taken the liberty of removing a "fact" tag that had been added to the statement that one account suggests Romana left the TARDIS and the Doctor went on travelling with Sharon. The tag requested a source be given, but a source is identified - the comic strip Timeslip is cited as normal right after the statement. 68.146.80.110 02:00, October 12, 2011 (UTC)

Infobox

Why does the infobox gives the names of other minor actresses who played romana for about 15 second each but not the two lead actresses??? 87.194.194.250^{talk to me} 17:10, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Good question. It's probably because the "main actor" field can only take one name, and there are two main actresses; each one is represented on her individual page. I do think that if Mary Tamm and Lalla Ward aren't included on this infobox, then the minor actors should not be on this page either. Shambala108 ☎ 17:48, November 9, 2012 (UTC)

Infobox gallery tabs

I understand why my edit was reversed (I added numerals, and Tamm/Ward's names) but it feels a little strange that the tabbed captions go "I", "II", and then two surnames instead of numerals. As those would be speculative to a point, would it be worth at least adding Tamm and Ward's surnames so the captions are consistent, and so "I" and "II" show their respective actress' name?

Trey and Lord aren't the actor surnames, though, they're the in universe names for those Romanas (the one marked as Lord is known as Lord Romana, the one marked as Trey is called that in most stories featuring her, I believe). I don't personally think that Trey should be on there, because she's from an aborted timeline, it'd be like having a picture of Fred on the Doctor's page. Aquanafrahudy 📢 07:59, 27 August 2023 (UTC)

Ohh, in that case fair enough - my bad. I didn't realise that was the case. I wrongly assumed they were the actress' surnames. (I think it's fair to say my confusion shows that others could be confused too - would it be worth putting "Trey" and "Lord" in inverted commas, to try and show that they're in-universe names as opposed to real world actor names? I ask because there can be confusion, and more so when other pages actually use real world actor names on occasion too.) — Fractal Doctor @ 10:13, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
