TB4 Trapped Under Liner was a short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article made reference to the Thunderbirds content in the issue with a smaller piece tying-in to the Front Page comic story The Premonitions [+]Loading...["The Premonitions (comic story)"], which was a crossover with the DWU.
Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
to be added
Characters[[edit] | [edit source]]
Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Gordon is entombed in Thunderbird 4 at the bottom of the Nicaraguan Canal, pinned there by the President cruise liner. It occurred shortly after the craft dived below the water to inspect the hull of the vessel, which remains jammed across the canal.
- Nicaraguan troops are moving into position ten miles away from the canal zone. If International Rescue cannot refloat the President and deal with the rebels, they will be forced to act.
- Top British metalurgists view TB 4's situation as a David and Goliath battle. This is because the President weighs three hundred thousand tons while the IR craft weighs just thirty-five.
- Despite the weight difference, Brains has specially processed the cahelium plus metal of TB 4 so that it is reportedly strong enough to support the entire World Aquanaut Security Patrol fleet.
- Snatched from the humanoid robots on the planet Robotic by Robert, the news is that Steve is safe and is thought to be launching a severe counter-attack.
- Stingray is undergoing a complete overhaul after it was badly damaged in a confrontation with the under-sea craft known to be the cause of the widespread water turbulence.
Story notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- This story is another crossover with Thunderbirds, Fireball XL5 and Stingray.
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The TV 21 reporters Pete Tracker and Lens Sharpe have relayed the news that Forth Bridge has "vanished into thin air". There is no suggestion that any damage had been sustained nor any sign of the bridge at all. (COMIC: The Premonitions)
