Horatio was a character in William Shakespeare's play Hamlet.
He was a friend of Hamlet and was present with him during Act V Scene I when a gravedigger exhumed the skull of Yorick. Hamlet asked him to tell him who the clown was when he arrived on the scene but Horatio did not know. (PROSE: Hamlet)
