The Radiation Range was a mountain range on the planet Skaro, located in the south of the continent of Darren. It ran along the edge of the Sea of Acid. (PROSE: The Dalography of Skaro [+]Loading...["The Dalography of Skaro (feature)"])
Thousands of years prior to the 2060s, the Daleks discovered pure cobalt in the mountains. They used the ore to manufacture neutron bombs to help them in their war against the Thals. However, they would never be used for this purpose. Instead, the bombs accidentally detonated when a meteorite storm struck the buildings where the bombs were kept, eventually resulting in the near-extinction of the original Dalek race and the emergence of their mutated descendants. (COMIC: Genesis of Evil)
After the Last Great Time War, the Radiation Range was thought to be the home of the final surviving Mutos. The Range was included on a map of Skaro drawn by the only survivor of a human expedition to the planet. (PROSE: Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe [+]Loading...["Dalek: The Astounding Untold History of the Greatest Enemies of the Universe (short story)"])
