::That's not a valid use of {{tlx|fact}}. You should avoid putting it in any infobox. Let me rephrase that, actually: you should '''never''' put it in an infobox.  The reason is that infoboxes are meant to showcase only information that is '''indisputable'''.  If you don't '''know''' the value of a variable in an infobox, please don't include it. {{user:CzechOut/Sig}}{{User:CzechOut/TimeFormat}} 14:14: Wed 20 Jul 2016</span>

Hey all :) If you need help with anything, please ask, below. The page tends to fill up quickly, so I've got a lot of archives. I try not to archive discussions that are ongoing, but sometimes it unfortunately happens. Gimme a second shout if I've not answered your question!

This page is also available in Bulgarian, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Hebrew and Russian.

If you've come here to request a simple, uncontroversial page move, please consider using {{speedy rename}} instead. This puts all rename requests into a neat little chart that all admin can see and work on.

Time Lord television stories category

Dear CzechOut, I'm leaving a message here rather than on the category talk page because that was suggested by the blurb on the talk page. The category in question is Category:Time Lord television stories.

I personally have a complete disconnect between the purpose of the category and its name. The description says that this is about the Time Lord society, not individual Time Lords. But the word "society" is absent from the category name while "Time Lord" is present. My understanding of this category (before reading the description) was that this is a category collecting TV stories involving Time Lords, which is more or less all of Doctor Who minus Mission to the Unknown plus some Sara Janes, I guess. Since this seemed a strange category to have, I followed up. But I believe category names should not be ambiguous, as per T:CAT NAME.

Not to be completely negative, let me try to also propose an alternative. I'm wondering if Time Lord society is not the same as Gallifrey society. Granted, not all stories currently in the category happen on Gallifrey. The Doctor's Wife and Shada are definitely not there. But then I'm not sure why they were added to the category. Most probably because of their connection to something happening on Gallifrey. At any rate, I propose to change the name either to Category:Gallifrey television stories, which is more restrictive, or to Category:Gallifrey related television stories, which is more inclusive. Thanks for the answer. To be honest, I also thought that deleting the category would be a better solution, but I generally try to refrain from suggestions to delete something that has been on the Wikia for a long time. In other words, my suggestion to rename it was a compromise rather than my own position. At any rate, I consider such changes to be above my pay grade. My role was to inform somebody who has more experience. Amorkuz 16:41, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Doctor Who?

A recent comic story Doctormania introduced an in-universe holo-show called Doctor Who?, currently at Doctor Who? (Doctormania). The name conflicts with a comic strip from the real world, Doctor Who? It is my understanding of T:DAB that the dab term should be on the real thing, not the in-universe thing. Thus, I put a rename tag on it. However, there are more than 100 links to the comic strip page. Thus, I am requesting if you could use your bot to change the links, unless, of course, my understanding of the dab rules is mistaken. In the latter case, I would be grateful for an explanation of the rules and would proceed to remove the rename tags myself. Amorkuz 15:19, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. As a way of apology for seemingly unnecessary message, I was not sure how uncontroversial this rename was and I did contact another admin before writing here. There is another pair of same-name pages: Doctor Who Appreciation Society and Doctor Who Appreciation Society (Doctormania). Since the admin I contacted first suggested that the real-world DWAS is so prominent that it should stay undabbed, I was not sure if speedy rename is really applicable to Doctor Who?. Plus, I think I've misunderstood the message atop T:SPEEDY. I thought, one should notify a bot-owner when a large link-changing job is afoot. Sorry for creating unnecessary conversation. thanks and apology

Thanks for the encouragement and apologies for not reading your reply on "Dutch" carefully enough. You were quite specific about the meaning of Dutch that is not a noun. Amorkuz 09:09, July 1, 2016 (UTC)

Link Prefixes

Hey.

Regarding T:PREFIX, is the prefix only applicable in references or should it be used for every link to a story? I've noticed both on the Wiki and I couldn't find anything in the Manual. guyus24 (talk) 01:03, July 11, 2016 (UTC)

GOR issue

Hi! User:Mister Fifty has reported a problem with the badge earned for editing disambiguation pages. By my count, he's edited at least five dab pages, but he says his profile lists it as 0/1. Is this a problem with the game, or with the category? Thanks. Shambala108 04:43, July 13, 2016 (UTC)

Dab Badges Removed

Thanks for letting me know..but I want an extra 60 points awarded for all the trouble this has caused me (jk)....*laughs* Mister Fifty 22:06, July 14, 2016 (UTC)

On that note, is it possible to know which catagories have been removed from the Game? Like most people (I hope) I'm trying to earn the badges and move up in the ranks. Also, is there listed anywhere who is listed as what rank, rather than just the top 20?

Thanks again.... Mister Fifty 13:21, July 18, 2016 (UTC)

Thank you again for all your assistance. I am enjoying the TARDISwiki information and enjoy helping when I can. I appreciate all the help and was kidding about the points.... Mister Fifty 18:47, July 18, 2016 (UTC)

Inline links

Thanks for the tip. Amorkuz 09:33, July 20, 2016 (UTC)
