The Cloven Hoof was a pub in Devil's End.
History
In the 1970s, the landlord of The Cloven Hoof was Bert, who set up a television set in the bar so the patrons could watch the opening of Devil's Hump, which was being shown as part of the current affairs programme The Passing Parade.
The Third Doctor, Jo Grant and Mike Yates stayed in The Cloven Hoof while investigating the Master and Azal. (TV: The Dæmons)
Behind the scenes
- The illustrated hanging sign for The Cloven Hoof was given to the real-life landlord of The Blue Boar in Aldbourne, Wiltshire, after location filming for the story was completed, and it hung on display in the bar for several years afterwards. However, when the pub changed hands in the early 1980s, the new landlord sold the sign to a group of Doctor Who fans, and its present whereabouts is unknown.
