The Day Before They Came was the second story of The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles: Volume Two, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written Daniel Blythe and featured Jacob Dudman as the Eleventh Doctor.
Publisher's summary
In the shabby seaside town of Bayview, Kayla Worthington is sitting on the beach waiting for an alien invasion. Her patience is rewarded when an alien arrives, although he doesn’t seem to be invading. He's called the Doctor, and he wants to buy her a cup of tea.
Plot

- Kayla has a mix tape with tracks from Yazoo, The Smiths, and Agadoo from Black Lace.
- The Doctor threatens to call UNIT to report aliens in the area.

- Ray says that he used to be part of the Scouts.
- The Doctor says that he can use Venusian Origami to distract the Spongiform.
- The Doctor calls the Spongiform 'Spongebob'.
- The Spongiform was intending to land in Barcelona.
- The Doctor mentions he purchased a book from a store in Charing Cross Road.
- The Doctor mentions he may have lent his first edition of the Volke Chronicles to former companions Zoe or Ian.
