You may be looking for the Grand Order of Oberon.

The Lesser Order of Oberon was a guild of assassins which was an inferior equivalent to the Grand Order of Oberon.

History

During the Invasion of the Archive of Islos, the Data Worm found that the Archive had "a lot of stuff" on the Lesser Order of Oberon. The Worm described the Order as very cheap and available, jokingly threatening that it could hire them to assassinate its employers. Due to the Kotturuh crisis being a loop in which its ending in the past affected its beginning in the present, the Worm found a rumour that one of the Order had ended up in the Dark Times. (PROSE: Secrets of Time Lord Victorious)

Doom, the time-travelling, wise-cracking, self-proclaimed "universe's greatest assassin", was in the employ of the Lesser Order of Oberon. (WC: Meet Doom - the Universe's Greatest Assassin!)

Brian the Ood, last member of the Lesser Order. (AUDIO: He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not)

At a time when Oods were enslaved, someone in the Lesser Order had the "semi-serious idea" of an Ood assassin and so bought Brian the Ood from an Ood Pen. (PROSE: All Flesh is Grass) The Order performed an operation to remove his hindbrain themselves in a dark basement, which he claimed was rough and very painful. They brutally trained him, with only one of Brian's trainers giving him any positive feedback. As a result, Brian killed that trainer first, giving him a quick end, before going on to kill the entire guild. (AUDIO: The Minds of Magnox) UNIT Field Logs noted that Brian ended up the Order's last survivor after he killed all the others. (PROSE: Brian the Ood)

Behind the scenes

  • The Lesser Order were first described in Brian the Ood's biography on the Doctor Who website, which says:

Brian was bought as a joke by a guild of assassins called the Lesser Order Of Oberon. They thought it would be amusing (and also practical) to train up a peaceful Ood to be the perfect assassin. He eventually killed them all, but the torturous training has left him with a very peculiar split personality that is half-butler and half-serial killer.[1]

  • The T-Shirt story Can I Help You? was an in-universe business promotion for contracting the Lesser Order of Oberon's "Knight-Assassins".
  • The stage play Time Fracture showed Brian the Ood at the end of his life seeking to restore the Lesser Order of Oberon. At least in some performances, Brian would induct audience members in the Order to rebuild it after he'd killed all its members.
