Talking
"Heard them talking." (TV: Partners in Crime)

The Eighth Doctor felt that talking helped him to concentrate, (AUDIO: Prisoner of the Sun) and he did so freely. Indeed, he would sometimes naïvely say and do things without taking the situation in, such as unironically telling Detective Inspector Foster he was a Time Lord while being interrogated for drug ownership, (PROSE: The Eight Doctors) stopping to oink at pigs in the company of Inspector Bengt Nordenstam, (PROSE: Dominion) and almost ruining his cover story by pointing out the brilliance of his interrogator's deduction. (COMIC: The Road to Hell)

The Aja'ib contained tales involving talking vegetables. (PROSE: Bafflement and Devotion)

The War Doctor was particularly critical of the Eleventh Doctor, disliking his use of the phrase "timey wimey" and his inability to talk without flapping his hands around, while also criticising the Tenth Doctor's footwear and the Eleventh Doctor's bow tie. (TV: The Day of the Doctor)

As travelling the Mississippi in the times of the Old West took a long time, people occupied themselves with romancing, fishing, talking, and gambling. (COMIC: The Greatest Gamble [+]Loading...{"page":"39","1":"The Greatest Gamble (comic story)"})

During the Dummy Massacre, (PROSE: Dummy Massacre [+]Loading...["Dummy Massacre (short story)"]) when the London Eye was activated by the Nestene Consciousness (TV: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (TV story)"], PROSE: Operation Mannequin [+]Loading...["Operation Mannequin (short story)"]) at least one person on the Eye found themselves unable to see due to the brightness and unable to talk because of the noise. (PROSE: Dummy Massacre [+]Loading...["Dummy Massacre (short story)"])

Through miming, Donna Noble communicated to the Tenth Doctor that she heard Miss Foster and Penny Carter talking at Adipose Industries. (TV: Partners in Crime)

In an emergency transmission sent out by the TARDIS, the Thirteenth Doctor listed 5 things that she did in any worrying situation in hopes that the recipients would do the same. During this, she said that the recipients should look out for each other, including friends, neighbours, people they hardly know, and family, and claimed that talking and sharing would help. (WC: Message from the Doctor)

After receiving a letter from the Thirteenth Doctor to her home, Abby McPhail called fellow The Blue Box Files team member Cleo Proctor to talk about the contents of the letter before forgetting what she wanted to talk about. (AUDIO: SOS)

Communications[[edit] | [edit source]]

To the surprise of Matron Casp, the new humans were capable of speech. (TV: New Earth)
