Covent Garden was a district in London.

In 1814, Jane Austen's brother had a house in Covent Garden. (AUDIO: Frostfire)

The Eighth Doctor was passing through it in 1840 when he met Penny Chapman. She cried out in a dazed state, brought on by her self-hypnosis, and it was assumed by all near that the Doctor was harassing her. Those close turned on him, but were distracted by the arrival of Spring-heeled Jack who caused the crowd to flee. The police arrived on the scene as Jack moved to attack Penny, but the Doctor knocked him away. The police officer Bates scared Jack away after he fired upon him.

Inspector Arnold Porter arrived at Covent Garden and questioned the Doctor but Penny vouched for him, having regained her senses. The Doctor escorted Penny home. (COMIC: The Curious Tale of Spring-Heeled Jack)

The Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith visited Covent Garden in December 1861. (PROSE: The Lampblack Wars)

The First Doctor and Dodo Chaplet visited Covent Garden in 1966, where they met Ben Jackson and Polly Wright at the Inferno. A nearby warehouse was used by labourers under WOTAN's control to build War Machines. They killed a tramp who discovered them, and his body was found in Covent Garden that morning. (TV: The War Machines)
