Galen was one of three countries on the planet Világ.
Politics
Galen's political system was that of a hereditary monarchy, although the executive powers of the monarchy had become largely symbolic by the time the Sixth Doctor and Evelyn came there. Nevertheless the royal family was still revered and seen as "role models, if not policymakers" according to the Sixth Doctor. The Kingdom Alliance, going to be created through the marriage between Krisztina, the Princess of Galen, and Viktor, Prince of Malendia, which would then end the war.
