Lee "Phones" Sheridan was a Lieutenant aboard the W.A.S.P. vessel Stingray. (COMIC: The Amaryll Challenge et al.)

While lying in wait with Troy Tempest for another of the mysterious alien machines to appear in April 2065, he was interviewed by Doug Brogan for TV 21 about them and the Brazilian jungle crisis in general. He said "I can only describe the machine as looking something like a monster lobster! If it hadn't been for the strength and power of the U.S. Junglecat, I reckon we would have all had it. This time we're up against a real threat ... let's hope Stingray can come through okay." (PROSE: Stingray Hunts Aliens)

When Tempest went missing on active service during his search for the kidnapped Atlanta Shore, Phones radioed Marineville to tell them that he had last been seen heading for Titanica but had heard nothing since. (PROSE: Tempest Awarded V.M.) Marineville later recieved word from Phones whilst he was aboard Stingray that he was about to engage a Titan Terror Fish in combat. Commander Shore endorsed this action. (COMIC: Duel of the Daleks) Phones reported that the Titan Terror Fish he had been following seriously damaged Stingray (PROSE: Stingray Searches) but was fully operational sometime afterwards and that he was continuing his search for Troy and Atlanta (COMIC: The Amaryll Challenge) in a coral island area in Titan's territory. (PROSE: Stingray Searches)

In July 2065, in reference to their "Ghost Hunting" mission at Tracking Station 17, Senator Jack Marasel of France accused "Shore and his boys" of "gaily galavanting around some island looking for ghosts". Senator Adrinnikof of Russia defended Stingray but the debate was ultimately adjourned until the next day. (PROSE: Civil War) Phones reported explosions from the control room of the station (PROSE: Spaceship S.O.S.) and later sent an "excited" radio message to report the ship's sighting of a ghostly galleon nearby. (PROSE: Peaceful Thals Ambushed!) When Tempest went missing after investigating this ghost galleon, Phones and Commander Shore were said to be taking action. (PROSE: Bullion Train)
