Doorway to Hell was a comic story published in Doctor Who Magazine in 2017.
It was notable for briefly reintroducing Roger Delgado's incarnation of the Master to the "present day" of Doctor Who and featuring the beginnings of his regeneration at the end of the story, presumably (though not explicitly) into the incarnation played on television by Peter Pratt and later by Geoffrey Beevers. This "plugging" of a hole in the Master's timeline notably conflicted with the version of the Delgado Master's demise featured in the earlier novel Legacy of the Daleks.
Less flashily but equally importantly, Doorway to Hell made another addition to fundamental Doctor Who lore in confirming, from the mouth of a Time Lord, that TARDISes' ability to repair themselves with a new appearance following great trauma (as featured in the TV stories The Eleventh Hour and, later, The Ghost Monument) was in fact a form of regeneration in its own right.

Notes
- Doorway to Hell is set after the Doctor and the Master's "affair with the Daleks and Draconians", referring to Frontier in Space, the last appearance of Roger Delgado as the Master prior to his death.
- The appearance of the Master's regeneration resembles the effect used on television since The Parting of the Ways in 2005. The shot of the Master looking at his hand, meanwhile, is closest to a shot from The Time of the Doctor.
