The Polar Mountains were a mountain range on Skaro located near the North Pole. It was a polar region with constant sub-zero temperatures. The humanoid Dalek scientists Lodian, Yvric and Zet were stationed at a secret base in the Polar Mountains. When the neutronic war occurred, the pole shifted and all three were frozen alive in ice until they were accidentally revived centuries later by the Daleks.
