Stone Dalek

The Stone Dalek was one of the progenitor Daleks.

History

The stone Daleks were the Progenitor Daleks present at The Alliance's sealing of the Doctor in the Pandorica in 102 A.D.. As the cracks in time continued to run rampant across the Universe, Dalek history was erased, leaving the stone Daleks as 'after images'. The Pandorica contained atoms from the original universe, from before the cracks started to erase events, and had the ability to sustain life. Light from within the Pandorica reactivated one of the Daleks, albeit with limited power. The Dalek to shot the Doctor, managing to severly wound the Time Lord, but at the cost of depleting it's energy reserves. It was then confronted by River Song. Initially disbelieving that River would destroy it, based on the fact that she was one of the Doctor's companions, after checking it's records and discovering who she was. The Stone Dalek, realising River would kill, begged (out of character for a Dalek) for mercy. River did not heed it's request, and shot it through the eyestalk with an Alpha meson gun, killing it. When the Doctor reset the universe and timeline, the Stone Daleks were presumabley restored to their original form and place in space and time. (DW: The Big Bang)

Behind the Scenes/Trivia

• The stone Dalek was pronounced to be the Supreme Dalek, Reasons were that it stood in the Middle of the other Daleks (young amy pond roaming), and it didn't have such a deep voice because it was said to be mad.
• This Dalek has been noted to be more ruthless and "trigger-happy", which many fans believe a Dalek should be like.
• The Stone Dalek does not say much other than the basic "exterminate!" and when it's talking to River Song it shouts out "Mercy!" and also including "Restoooring!" when it was damaged by Rory and River Song.
• The stone Dalek seems to have a breakage in his suction cup, as the Doctor states that a Roman Centurian must have hit it.
• It is unknown how the Dalek came from hovering at the roof of the building to a lower corridor, in the scene you heard a distant bashing, Probably it shooting through the wall.
• This Dalek kept powering down and losing its ability to shoot, but it kept self repearing while shouting "RESTORING!"
• The Dalek looks more or less damaged and broken, the Doctor states that a Roman hit it (probably Rory) but there is a theory that it was damaged in the process of being wiped from time.
• The eyestalk is its main color
• The new Daleks are unlucky as the eyestalk is the real eye from the Dalek, and the eleteric power from River Song's gun obviously traveled down the power lines, killing the Dalek.
• When meeting River Song the Dalek 'Backed Off' or became scared which is unsual behaviour, there is a theory that like Dalek Caan, the process may have made it mildly mad.
• The Dalek did'nt look stone really, it looked foam.
• The shot from this gun showed the Doctors bones but in the game 'City Of The Daleks' when it shot the Doctor a light blue lazer surrounded the Doctor.
• River song forces the Dalek to say 'Mercy!' 3 times. The Dalek must think that when saying this River will cease from killing it.
• If the case that the Dalek lived again, the other Daleks (Supreme, Eternal, Scientist, Strategist) May live again (future episodes)
• In the museum the Daleks seemed to be in a forest or wood of some sort.
