Pinstripe


Pinstripes were a pattern of very thin stripes of any colour running in parallel often found in fashion.

The Tenth Doctor wore suits of pinstripe with notched lapels on the blazers; done on dark brown and light blue, (TV: The Christmas Invasion-The End of Time, The Day of the Doctor) or navy and crimson. (TV: Smith and Jones-Dreamland)

The Eleventh Doctor spent his first hours in the Tenth Doctor's brown and blue suit. (TV: The End of Time, The Eleventh Hour) He wore a burgundy pinstripe shirt under his first tweed blazer. The War Doctor wore a bone pinstripe shirt during the Battle for the Tantalus Eye, (PROSE: Engines of War) and right up to his death after the 1562/2013 Zygon Invasion of Earth and the Fall of Gallifrey. (TV: The Day of the Doctor)

In his Sixth Doctor form, the Curator wore a double-breasted frock coat of burgundy and peach pinstripe with a cat brooch, and also trousers of chocolate and teal pinstripe. (AUDIO: The Artist at the End of Time)
