Strictly Come Dancing is a dance talent show aired on BBC One.

The series crossed over with the Doctor Who universe in various BBC releases.

In 2011, the National Television Awards minisode Dermot and the Doctor [+]Loading...["Dermot and the Doctor (TV story)"] featured an appearance by Bruce Forsyth, a presenter for the series, still working in the far future.

In 2012, the Christmas ident promoted Strictly alongside Doctor Who, featuring Craig Revel Horwood, a judge from the show.

In 2016, the Children in Need special Looking for Pudsey [+]Loading...["Looking for Pudsey (TV story)"] featured Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman, also judges from the show.

In 2024, Wonder Chase [+]Loading...["Wonder Chase (video game)"] was released on Roblox as a crossover of various series owned by the BBC. This included both Doctor Who and Strictly, with the latter being represented via bloopers watchable at the cinema.

Also in 2024, the Doctor Who episode The Devil's Chord [+]Loading...["The Devil's Chord (TV story)"] was released, featuring Shirley Ballas and Johannes Radebe dancing to "Twist at the End".

Again in 2024, the second instalment of Doctor Doctor, Strictly Come Doctor Doctor [+]Loading...["Strictly Come Doctor Doctor (TV story)"], was released, featuring Nancy Xu and Neil Jones being Time Scooped aboard the STARSHED.

A later update to Wonder Chase, entitled "The BMX Update!" was used to promote series 22 of Strictly Come Dancing, with Montell Douglas stating her excitement to "light up the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing!".

Strictly Come Dancing has featured Doctor Who-themed dances on three occasions:

  • In 2015, Jay McGuiness danced in character as the Eleventh Doctor with Aliona Vilani to Dr Jazz by Jelly Roll Morton.
  • In 2018, Stacey Dooley danced in character as the Thirteenth Doctor with Kevin Clifton as a Cyberman to an original version of the Doctor Who theme.
  • In 2022, Tyler West danced in character as the Doctor with Dianne Buswell as a Weeping Angel to the Doctor Who theme by Segun Akinola in a special episode featuring various BBC theme tunes to commemorate the BBC’s centenary.
