During the Twelfth Doctor's time at St Luke's University watching over Missy in the Vault, Missy included a tiger on a list of requests sent to Nardole. The Doctor initially approved the list, but then retracted his approval of the tiger as it "wouldn't be fair" on the animal. However, Nardole had already ordered it. Andromeda.gal.ax delivered a Siberian tiger before processing Nardole's refund, requesting the item be teleported in unused condition to one of their depots. The delivery company erroneously assumed that a group of chickens belonging to university chaplain D. Thorne were acceptable receivers of the tiger, which subsequently ate the birds. Andromeda.gal.ax blamed the incident on the chickens, saying it was their responsibility to put up a sign saying they did not want tigers teleported into their domicile, and replaced them with robotic models equipped with laser eyes and guns which killed Thorne.
