Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Early life[[edit] | [edit source]]

Shaun in 2009. (TV: Journey's End [+]Loading...["Journey's End (TV story)"])

By December 2009, Shaun was engaged to Donna Noble, living with her in a small flat, as they had very little income, with Shaun on minimum wage and Donna earning "tuppence". On Christmas Eve, Shaun was out shopping with Donna, and watched her argue her way out of a parking fine. The following Christmas Day, Shaun and Donna visted Wilfred Mott and Sylvia Noble to give them their presents: Wilfred's gift was Joshua Naismith's Fighting the Future. As Wilf went to watch the Queen's speech, Shaun continued his conversation with Donna and Sylvia. Later that day, Shaun was turned him into a member of the Master Race after the Saxon Master walked into the Immortality Gate, but Rassilon later reversed the Master's transfer of his genetic code, and Shaun returned to normal along with the rest of the human race. Confused about what had happened, Shaun went to find Donna, and found her unconscious in an alley, bringing her to the Nobles' home to recover. Wedding to Donna[[edit] | [edit source]]

Main article: Donna Noble and Shaun Temple's wedding

Shaun married Donna in the Spring of 2010. As he exited the church with her, he high fived a man, was kissed on the cheek by Wilf, and posed for a photograph with Donna and her friends, while Wilf and Sylvia went off to talk to a man who left him and Donna an envelope containing a lottery ticket as a wedding gift. After Donna was given the ticket, she hollered to Shaun to remind him that they were on a tight schedule, as oxtail soup was being served at 02:30pm. Raising a family[[edit] | [edit source]]

Shortly after the wedding, Donna decided to donate the lottery money to charity after she and Shaun bought a house, which baffled Shaun, but he accepted her decision. He got a job as a taxi driver to support his family, (TV: The Star Beast [+]Loading...["The Star Beast (TV story)"]) which grew when he and Donna had a child, (PROSE: We Are Family [+]Loading...{"page":"35","1":"We Are Family (short story)"}) who, by 2023, had come out as both transgender and non-binary, choosing the name of Rose for herself. (TV: The Star Beast [+]Loading...["The Star Beast (TV story)"]) Shaun also watched the Venom films, complaining to Donna about how characters seemed to gain extra mass when growing in size, questioning the science behind it. Meeting the Doctor[[edit] | [edit source]]

In November 2023, (PROSE: The Star Beast [+]Loading...["The Star Beast (novelisation)"]) Shaun was working a shift in his taxi cab when, after trying to get Rose's attention while she and Donna were out shopping, the Fourteenth Doctor leapt towards him and insisted he drive him to the site of a crashed spaceship, despite the road closers. While perplexed at his identity card claiming he was a woman, Shaun let him in regardless when he guaranteed he knew a route. During the drive, the Doctor let slip that he knew Donna, and Shaun, after being told he knew her through Nerys, updated him on his and Donna's life since their wedding, and then let him off near Millson Wagner Steelworks.

When he returned home from work, Shaun discovered the Doctor was in his house, along with Donna, Rose, Sylvia and the Meep. Confused by the Doctor, Shaun listened as he communicated with the Meep while bandaging his paw. The Soldiers of the Psychedelic Sun and Wrarth Warriors suddenly attacked the house, and Shaun fled upstairs to the attic with the others and crossed through the walls to escape the destruction in his taxi cab, though with the Doctor at the wheel. Shaun then witnessed the Doctor's trial between the Meep and the Wrarth Warriors, the former of whom soon captured them, with the Meep having been revealed as evil after killing the Wrarth Warriors.

At the Steelworks, Shaun and his family were rescued by UNIT scientific advisor Shirley Bingham, but Donna insisted they separate, with Shaun getting Rose and Sylvia to safety while she went to help the Doctor. Soon after, Shaun watched as Rose's meta-crisis consciousness was released, enabling her to stop the Meep's Dagger Drive. Shaun commented that he felt the luckiest man alive to have both Rose and Donna in his life after they decided letting go of the meta-crisis. In the following morning, Shaun was taken to the Doctor's TARDIS with his family and gave Donna his blessing to take a trip to see Wilf, assuring her that he was not at all suspicious of her relationship with the Doctor. However, the TARDIS started going haywire and Shaun, Rose and Sylvia could only watch in horror as it departed Camden Market. (TV: The Star Beast [+]Loading...["The Star Beast (TV story)"])

Friendship with the Doctor[[edit] | [edit source]]

Within the next few days of Donna's disappearance, Shaun, Rose and Sylvia went into hiding at Wilf's behest after the world fell into the madness (TV: Wild Blue Yonder [+]Loading...["Wild Blue Yonder (TV story)"]) caused by the Toymaker and the Giggle. After the Doctor and his fifteenth incarnation resolved the crisis, and the Fourteenth Doctor decided to take "rehab" on Earth to heal his mental state, Shaun came to a garden party with his family and Melanie Bush, where he served a chicken dish, a vegan dish, poppadoms and cauliflower cheese, (TV: The Giggle [+]Loading...["The Giggle (TV story)"]) at the Doctor's home in the countryside. (PROSE: The Giggle [+]Loading...["The Giggle (novelisation)"])

Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]

According to Wilfred Mott, Shaun was "sweet enough", being a dreamer, (TV: The End of Time (part one) [+]Loading...{"part":"One","1":"The End of Time (TV story)"}) and a "kind man". (PROSE: We Are Family [+]Loading...{"page":"35","1":"We Are Family (short story)"})

Donna Noble thought of him as a nice and lovely man, who would keep going back to the place where she was last seen every single day in case she returned. (TV: Wild Blue Yonder [+]Loading...["Wild Blue Yonder (TV story)"]) He was also a family man, adoring both his wife and daughter. (TV: The Star Beast [+]Loading...["The Star Beast (TV story)"])
