A Brave New World was the second story of the audio anthology The Diary of River Song: Series Eight. It was written by Tracy Ann Baines and featured Alex Kingston as River Song, Salome Haertel as Rachel Burrows and David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor.

- An unspecified incarnation of the Doctor turns the TARDIS swimming pool into a sauna by venting heat from the rest of the TARDIS into it.
- River fights Boltarian Death Mechas with the War Doctor.
- River attends a party with, judging by the description, the Ninth Doctor.
- River jumps out of a ship filled with Art Deco Robots while the Eleventh Doctor stays behind to save them.
- River leaves the Tenth Doctor to fight a Necro-Demon in an unnamed Collection.
