The Unwilling Assassin was the second story of the audio anthology, The Lone Centurion: Volume One, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Sarah Ward and featured Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams.

- Tacitus mentions the lack of stars. (TV: The Big Bang)
- The Empress is killed by belladonna in the figs served to her, which Rory tried beforehand, and accidentally distributed, echoing her husband's assassination by her own hand. She finds this painfully ironic. (AUDIO: Gladiator)
