Alternative drone

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

"Alternative drones" was the term used by the Machine on a parallel Earth to refer to a flock of pigeons that had been partially cyber-converted (AUDIO: Telepresence) either during or after the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe's invasion of a parallel Earth. (AUDIO: Code Silver)

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

The alternative drones were cyber-converted from a flock of pigeons, (AUDIO: Telepresence) either during or following the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe's invasion of a parallel Earth. (AUDIO: Code Silver)

In the Doctor's universe during the 2010s, when Petronella Osgood, Colonel Vikram Shindi and Captain Josh Carter used dimension bridge technology to materialise on this parallel Earth as mental avatars, the Machine attempted to convert them to form a link to the Earth of N-Space. Having failed to convert the trio with a large Mechanising Worm and a partially cyber-converted mutated dog, the Machine located a flock of alternative drones and ordered them to attack Osgood, Shindi and Josh.

In the ruins of Piccadilly Circus, Osgood, Shindi and Josh were attacked by the alternative drones, but avoided being severely injured by them by escaping into an abandoned underground train station, sealing themselves inside by forcefully closing an old steel shutter, and preventing the alternative drones from pursuing them any further. (AUDIO: Telepresence)

Appearance[[edit] | [edit source]]

The alternative drones resembled partially cyber-converted pigeons; Colonel Vikram Shindi observed that the drones were "more machine than creature". In particular, the drones possessed sharp, metal beaks. (AUDIO: Telepresence)
