Captain Scarlet Our Only Hope was a short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article made reference to the Captain Scarlet comic story We Will Destroy Unity City [+]Loading...["We Will Destroy Unity City (comic story)"], which was a crossover with the DWU.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

Spectrum rushes to tackle the Mysterons' threat to destroy Unity City with utmost efficency. Colonel White orders an immediate security clamp-down on the city within seconds as he waits on the enemy's next move. The Angels are launched and two aircraft quickly begin to patrol the air limits of Unity City while ground forces move in. However, rumours that three Angels were sent soon cause widespread alarm, sparking fears that one of the fighters in Mysteron hands would make their victory an almost certainty.

Elsewhere, TV 21 report Zero X navigator Brad Newman may have been kidnapped that morning while on his way to Glenn Field. Despite this, Glenn Field denies suggestions this could be true and a spokesman for the spaceport promptly releases a statement claiming that Zero X left for Sector 35 on schedule and with a full crew. TV 21 does not accept this as the final word and reiterates that if the rumour is true, Zero X has an impostor aboard and Newman's life could be in danger.
