Attack on Marineville[[edit] | [edit source]]

For the front page of TV Century 21 on 30 January 2065, the correspondent wrote an article detailing the beginning of an air search for the submarine aircraft carrier S.A.3., which had lost contact with Stingray after Stingray was attacked by a Titan Terror Fish. The correspondent relayed Commander Shore's message to reporters that the S.A.3. was the third carrier to have disappeared within a month. (PROSE: Stingray Attacked! [+]Loading...["Stingray Attacked! Shore subsequently placed Marineville on Orange Standby, justifying the decision to TV 21's reporter by telling them "Stingray is finished, we've got to be prepared for anything". (COMIC: Genesis of Evil [+]Loading...["Genesis of Evil (comic story)"])

The correspondent provided an update on the mounting tension in Marineville for the front page on 13 February, reporting that nerves were "stretched to breaking point" as WASP prepared for action. Having signalled Battle Stations and awaiting further contact from Stingray, the correspondent said Commander Shore and his men were waiting for an attack they felt sure was coming. The correspondent turned in another report for the front page of the 20 February edition in which they used the first person to convey that they were writing the story from an underground air-attack shelter sixty feet ground while Marineville's own aircraft carriers were bombarding its surface installations with rockets. They stated that Marineville High Command was "reeling" from the attack, while Commander Shore considered his next course of action. (PROSE: Titan Declares War! [+]Loading...["Titan Declares War! The correspondent delivered a final report regarding the attack on Marineville for the front page on 6 March, still from within Marineville's underground complex. The article mostly consisted of an exclusive interview with Commander Shore, which the correspondent had conducted one hour prior to writing it up. Shore reassured the TV21 readership that there was "no panic here", explaining the reason he would be holding off on "calculated destruction of the aircraft" (and their unwilling WASP pilots) for another two hours was in case Stingray could the situation, though he admitted this outcome was unlikely. In 2069, four years on, TV21 chose to look back on some of their earliest front pages. This included several of the Marineville correspondent's reports about Titan's attack. (PROSE: Flashback...
