After leaving her job in the British government in 1966, Ellen Hunt married her husband.

Ellen Hunt's future husband was a Foreign Office official. At some point in 1966, he married Ellen Hunt.
As part of his Foreign Office work, the couple lived in Australia and Hong Kong. They returned to Sevenoaks in 1979.
