Grey family
The Grey family was briefly the English Royal Family in the 16th century under the rule of Lady Jane Grey.
At the age of fifteen, Jane's mother forced her to marry Guildford Dudley. Jane's sisters, Katherine and Anne, were also married on the same day. (PROSE: The Nine-Day Queen)
Dudley's father, the Duke of Northumberland, put Jane on the throne after the death of the Tudor King, Edward VI, in 1553. Ultimately, she ruled for just nine days, 10 July to 19 July, before being deposed by Mary I. (TV: Lost in Time) She was a Tudor and the half-sister of Edward VI. Dudley and Jane were eventually executed. The First Doctor witnessed her death on 12 February 1554. (PROSE: The Nine-Day Queen)
