Prehistory
Prehistory referred to the time during the development of human culture on Earth before the appearance of the written word. It was divided into three periods based on the technology used by humans at the time: the Stone, Bronze, and Iron ages. While attempting to participate in the Dalek invasion of Earth in the year 2415, the Golden Emperor's time machine took him to Earth's prehistoric period, where he was attacked with rocks thrown by primitive humans. (COMIC: The Secret of the Emperor)

Human historians who studied Dalek history believed that Skaro had had a prehistoric era similar to Earth, one that ended when humanoid life evolved, or was transplanted onto Skaro by alien powers. During the Last Great Time War, the Daleks attempted to time travel to prehistoric Gallifrey, to prevent the Time Lords from evolving, during an era where a large lizard-like species existed on the planet. This lizard-creature was later Time Scooped into the present day by the war-era Time Lords, (PROSE: Engines of War) potentially continuing to exist on the planet after the conflict.
