Shaw Jansen
Shaw Jansen was the Vice President of Earth under World President Nikita Bandranaik in 2066. He was said to be the man most likely to succeed the President should he, as rumoured, retire before the elections.
After Bandranaik was injured in a skiing accident in Switzerland, Jansen was Acting President while he was indisposed. He undertook all World Government duties, including a state visit to Astra. (PROSE: GA34R Hunt) Jansen was met on arrival by World Senate representative Kableta 1 and then taken to the Kaplan's residence, where he attended a dinner in his honour. By the time of the heat crisis, Bandranaik was back in charge. (COMIC: Solar Danger) Bandranaik ultimately remained President until the November elections, in which it was instead T.J. Younger who was "overwhelmingly" chosen as his successor. (PROSE: Information Service)
