Behind the Scenes[[edit source]]

I LOVE your "Behind the Scenes" notes on Donna!! I hadn't considered her married name to roughly mean "Lady Time Lord"! That's so brilliant!! :D And the fact that she is still the only companion to have met all the other companions or their family members never crossed my mind! And also the fact that she is in every Tennant series (season) if you count her initial appearance in the TARDIS. The "Behind the Scenes" notes are what really draw me to places like this!!  :) Thank you very much!! Gallery[[edit source]]

Quite right too! I'm actually quite surprised that no one brought this up before, they've been here for a few months now; Adding curated galleries to our more "important" pages in some way or another is something that users have expressed a desire to do a few times, but alas it's yet another thing that we'd need the Forums to properly discuss. Did it ever establish what Donna's new position in UNIT is? Whether it's KS's personal assistant, or as a commanding general, or whatever?

I think in the concluding so-called anniversary episode, Donna impressed KS, and was offered a job. Donna wanted more than what was offered (five weeks' worth of paid leave, and pay rivalling that of the Prime Minister of the UK, and possibly others in similar positions, like the Taoiseach), to which KS immediately acquiesced without question. While not explicitly said, the implicit is that she did; Donna's reaction affirms she accepts and Kate says "Done", indicating finality to the discussion. Further, she gets straight to work for them, working the computers and keeps in close contact with Mel. Much like the bi-generation/15th Doctor debate, the implicit detail is clear given RTD trusts viewers to understand the concept without him having to spell out every detail to viewers. I have no doubt we will get outright confirmation regardless though in Series 14's episodes (but that's spoilers so).
Regardless, if editors think we do indeed need an outright "Yes, I now work for UNIT, here's my badge" kind of line like we got for Martha in The Sontaran Stratagem (TV story) to include the job on her page, then fair game. Snivy ✦ The coolest Pokemon ever ✦ 22:52, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
Me, it's just because since I've found out the capacities in which the other three inhabitants of UNIT's "Unknown" capacity section really have, and have subsequently moved them to more appropriate places after finding what they do (Security Guard, Head Archivist, Computer Scientist). With Donna being by herself, the only person we don't know what rank/capacity she is...yeah.
Also, I'm starting to feel like UNIT, under current management, is the sole employer for all the past friends of our hero, all of them sworn to live and die at his/KS's command. I've said it before, but still... Kevin 'Chalky' Kaiba ☎ 09:29, 7 January 2024 (UTC) (Sorry!)

You tell me. On the UNIT roster page, I put her under "Other", which has the subtitle of "unknown capacities". As I say, we used to have Jolandra (now a Security Guard), Joel (now Head Archivist) and Melanie Bush (now a Computer Scientist) in there with Donna, but the three have all migrated to new sections. Infobox image[[edit source]]

Would anybody be open to a discussion about potentially changing the profile image on Donna's infobox? I've never really been a fan of the current image, as her expression isn't neutral and shadow from her hair covers parts of her face. I personally prefer the image to the right as an example, though I'm open to other options. Following her appearance in the anniversary specials at the end of last year, I'm thinking now could be a good time to open a debate on this. 66 Seconds ☎ 23:51, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

I like your suggestion. For the sake of discussion/variety, I'll also add some proposals. (@66 Seconds: I've moved your suggested picture into the gallery below.) My preference is #2 because it's the most recent, good quality, and is lit really nicely which always helps at a smaller thumbnail size.
