The Deepest Tragedian was the fourth and final story in The Second Doctor: Volume Three, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Penelope Faith and featured Wendy Padbury as Zoe Heriot.
Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]
Zoe is brilliant. Zoe loves to prove it, helping the Doctor and Jamie in their travels, coming to the rescue with a realisation or solving a puzzle. But she's about to meet a puzzle that's difficult to solve. A puzzle with a face. A puzzle with a heart. A puzzle that spells doom for the Doctor...

Notes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- The Doctor and Jamie do not appear in this story. They are, according to Zoe, in the TARDIS "squash court".
- Ian Atkins was responsible for the initial phase of production, including the script brief, while Dominic G. Martin was responsible for the recording phase of production. (BFX: The Deepest Tragedian)
Continuity[[edit] | [edit source]]
- Though it is not explicitly stated, it is implied Tommy has been sent by the Time Lords to recruit the Doctor to fight in the Time War. In flashbacks, Tommy refers to Sky Trenches (TV: The Last Day) and sound effects of Dalek weaponry can be heard.
