Upon being brought to the Doctor's universe, Brad Boimler - a resident of another universe - asked if they were in the Mirror Universe, noting that he couldn't handle another doppelgänger of himself; when River Song answered that he was not, Boimler hoped that there would not be any transporter accidents. William Boimler was the transporter duplicate of Brad Boimler. He served under Captain William Riker, who he evidently named himself after.
