A Cyber-ship returns from an expedition, but is on a collision course with the building housing Control, forcing the Cybermen to shoot it down. The ship's crew are revealed to have been replaced by black shape-shifting creatures. They break into control and take over, but absorb too much energy and explode. The Cybermen learn that the ship had been to the Dark Continent, and decide to go there and destroy the source of the attack.

The Black Sky was the third story of The Cybermen series featuring the Cybermen and Silurians on Mondas. It did not feature the Doctor.

Plot

A Cyber-ship returns from an expedition, but is on a collision course with the building housing Control, forcing the Cybermen to shoot it down. The ship's crew are revealed to have been replaced by black shape-shifting creatures. They break into control and take over, but absorb too much energy and explode. The Cybermen learn that the ship had been to the Dark Continent, and decide to go there and destroy the source of the attack.
