Anne Neville

Richard III had a wife during his reign as King of England with whom he had a son. By August 1485, Richard had lost them both to illness. (AUDIO: The Kingmaker)

She was featured as a character in William Shakespeare's play Richard III, being referred to by Richard in the line "Was ever woman in this humour wooed? Was ever woman in this humour won? I'll have her but I will not keep her for long!". According to the play, Richard was responsible for the death of her previous husband. (COMIC: A Groatsworth of Wit)
