- After a public call for pitches set in or around the Boulevard of Alternate Brutalities[2] resulted in almost 100 submissions,[3] Obverse Books announced two anthologies of short stories in that setting. Writers for the anthologies would include Kelly Hale, Dave Hoskin, Simon Bucher-Jones, Kara Dennison, Alan Taylor, Juliet Kemp, Jay Eales, Courtney Milnestein, Philip Marsh, James Maddox, Joshua Prentice, Julio Angel Ortiz and Vince Stadon, Leo Healy, Aristide Twain, Robert Shepherd, Thom Hutchinson, Tim Gambrell, Kevin Burnard, Aaron George, Ben Casson, Paul Hiscock, Gareth Madgwick, George Wells, and Athenodora Cat.[4]
