Roundstone Wood was a forest just outside of Cardiff. It was here that Estelle Cole encountered the fairies. According to Owen Harper, in ancient times it had been considered bad luck to walk through the woods or even to collect timber from it. Romans occupying Great Britain stayed clear of the area.
