Compassion III was the designation of the third iteration of Laura Tobin. After her initiation into Faction Paradox, she became Cousin Rahman.
Compassion was remembered from Compassion II and lived on Anathema until her death. She worked there as a security expert. After dying on Anathema, Compassion was resurrected along with her other iterations in the City of the Saved; they collectively decided on a Roman numeral system to refer to each other. As one of the Remote, Compassion had an affinity for media, so she became a TV critic in Teletopia District.
When agents of Antipathy tried attacking her, Compassion sought sanctuary with Chad Vandemeer, offering to defect to the Rump Parliament; since she was connected to Faction Paradox in her first incarnation and was linked to the first humanoid timeship, the Parliament happily accepted her. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...) She took the initiation name of Cousin Rahman and became Head of the Rump Parliament's Esoteric Research Division.
