Pain was the daughter of Ricky McIlveen (a powerful human psionic) and Jasmine Surprise (the daughter of Chris Cwej and Ishtar Hutchings). (PROSE: Happy Endings) She and her younger sisters, who included Death and Time, were the Menti Celesti.
