Dave Stone was a writer, biographer, tap-dancer, and aerialist.

While under the influence of laudanum, 3-methoxyl-4,5-methylenedioxyamphetamine, hash toasties and Bovril, Stone experienced a "True and Undeniable" vision of the Seventh Doctor, Bernice Summerfield, Chris Cwej and Roz Forrester in an adventure where they battled the alien Sloathes. While transcribing this vision, Stone was interrupted by Fate in the guise of Aiden, an unassuming Medicated Goitre bandage salesman from Peckham. As a result, Stone forgot his vision and had to use his imagination to complete the manuscript, which was eventually published as Sky Pirates!. (PROSE: Sky Pirates! [+]Loading...["Sky Pirates! (novel)"])

On another occasion, Stone suggested the premise behind the events that occurred at the Museum. (AUDIO: Many Happy Returns [+]Loading...["Many Happy Returns (audio story)"])
