Spider's Shadow was the following one-part story comprising part of the one hundred and ninth release in Big Finish's monthly range. It was written by Nicholas Briggs but credited to Stewart Sheargold and featured Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.

It is the only single part story featuring the Seventh Doctor in the main role. The last single part story in which Sylvester McCoy portrayed the Seventh Doctor was in the 1996 TV movie.

Publisher's summary

It is the eve of battle and the Martial Princesses Louise and Alison are hosting a royal ball. But there are unwelcome visitors in the garden and a sequence of events spiralling out of control. And what's more, the Doctor doesn't even remember arriving.
